Building robust networks: Linking Regional Champions, quality assurers, STEM mentors, and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality programmes; a robust network founded on STE(A)M training.
Promoting innovation and diversity: Fostering the development of unique and impactful STEM/ STEAM projects that cater to diverse interests and skill level, contextualised to regional priorities.
Expanding opportunities: Creating enriching exchange programmes for students and educators to broaden their horizons and foster cross-cultural collaboration.
Widening access: Seeking to find participation opportunities in STE(A)M activities and programmes for underrepresented groups.
Strengthening industry ties: Establishing strong partnerships with universities and industry leaders to provide real-world contexts and solidify STEAM experiences for students.
This will be done by:
Enhancing STEAM skills and competencies for students, organisations, and educators through training and event leadership.
Developing and diversifying innovative STEAM programmes.
Facilitating regional STEAM programmes with trained mentors/ambassadors and lesson creators.
Enabling student exchanges for educational opportunities.
Accrediting mentors, organisations, and programs for STEAM excellence trained through the SSEN (South East Asia STEM Education Network).
Improving teacher and mentor competencies in STEAM education.
Gaining recognition for achievements in STEAM.
Connecting with supportive universities and companies.
Providing access to STEAM learning communities and materials.
Facilitating international exchange programs.
